Residents across the Tri-State area are preparing for damaging winds, heavy rain, and coastal flooding from the nor'easter.

A state of emergency went into effect in New Jersey at 10 p.m., with Governor Phil Murphy declaring a state of emergency across all 21 counties.

So far we've given out about 1,500 (bags). It's nice to see the community come together. I've seen neighbors come out and get bags for their elderly neighbors, so just watching people look out for each other, it's a good thing to see - Autumn Nonnenmacher, volunteer

Officials are urging people to take necessary precautions ahead of the nor'easter's arrival.
