Royal Unibrew and Faerch’s Recyclable Cups Achieve High Return Rate
Royal Unibrew and Faerch have collaborated on cups made from recycled PET, achieving a 97% return rate at Smukfest 2025 in Denmark.
The cups are collected after use and sent to Faerch’s recycling business Cirrec in the Netherlands, where they are processed back into food-grade material.
The high return rate shows festival guests are willing to be part of the circular return system when the solution is simple and meaningful.
