Asean Summit: Timor-Leste's Entry Completes Asean Family
Timor-Leste officially joined the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) as its 11th member on Sunday, October 26.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that Timor-Leste's entry
completes the Asean familyand reflects the region's commitment to inclusivity and shared destiny.
The 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur will also feature the signing of a Thailand-Cambodia peace deal, witnessed by US President Donald Trump in his first visit to the region since his second term began.
