ExxonMobil Strengthens Local Workforce in Guyana
As the oil and gas sector transforms Guyana's economy, opportunities are increasing for citizens. President of ExxonMobil Guyana, Alistair Routledge, revealed that approximately 1,800 Guyanese are now working offshore.
Routledge emphasized that growing the Guyanese workforce is a top priority, stating that the country's natural resources should benefit as many Guyanese as possible through employment and business opportunities.
Overall, about 70 per cent of the oil and gas workforce in the country is Guyanese.
