Seven Million Turn Out for “No Kings” Protests Nationwide. Next Up, Massive Disruptions Backed by Unions?

Massive Protests Against Trump's Authoritarian Rule

Millions of people took to the streets nationwide on October 18 as part of a pro-democracy movement rising up in peaceful resistance against President Trump's authoritarian rule.

Under the banner of "No Kings," more than 2,700 demonstrations were held across every state, from big cities like Chicago to smaller towns.

It's not simply that Trump has the typical bossman's bullying streak. He's stranded the country somewhere between the bedlam of his whims and the corruption of a modern-day Gomorrah, down-zoned to the dregs of a Florida swamp.

The people have had enough from the madman don in Mar-a-Lago, with working people defying his abuses of power and refusing to live under the yoke of a wannabe strongman who seeks to bend society to the dictatorship of the privately owned Trump Organization.

Author's summary: Millions protest Trump's authoritarian rule nationwide.
