It was unfortunate that on a recent night, the only cinema show available to watch was The Materialists, a film that failed to impress.
Life’s been so demanding in this second decade of our marriage, that my husband and I’ve barely managed to accommodate our traditional ‘date nights’.
Despite getting out for various family activities, strictly romantic occasions rarely materialise, making the experience of watching The Materialists even more disappointing.
The film, led by Dakota Johnson, was a snoozefest, and the author feels obligated to warn readers to stay away from it.
