US Navy Aircraft Crash in South China Sea
Two US Navy aircraft crashed into the South China Sea on Sunday, with no fatalities reported.
The incidents involved an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter and a Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet, both conducting routine operations from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.
- The helicopter crashed with three crewmembers on board, all of whom were recovered by search and rescue teams.
- A half-hour later, the fighter jet crashed, and both crewmembers ejected themselves and were safely recovered.
No fatalities were reported in either incident.
