Steal a Brainrot Roblox Game Creator Sues Fortnite Creative Copycat
Spyder Games, the developer of the viral hit Steal a Brainrot on Roblox, is suing a Fortnite Creative copycat game for copyright infringement.
According to the lawsuit filed in California, Thomas Van Der Voort copied Spyder Games' "artwork, objects, design, and game elements" for the Fortnite Creative game, Stealing Brainrots.
The similarities between the game and the infringing game are not coincidental.
The lawsuit claims that the similarities between the two games are due to conscious decisions made by the defendant to copy the creative choices and unique designs implemented in Steal a Brainrot.
- Spyder Games launched Steal a Brainrot in May 2025.
- The company secured the copyright in August.
