BPS Suspends Mail to US and Canada

The Barbados Postal Service (BPS) has suspended mail services to the United States, its dependencies, and Canada due to international postal operation challenges.

Postmaster General Joanne Busby confirmed that effective September 24, all Universal Postal Union (UPU) mail services to the US, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and Canada have been temporarily halted.

These services include letters, parcels, and Express Mail Service (EMS).

No reason was given for the suspension, only that it was due to shifting Customs and labour conditions abroad.
