Canada Accelerates Clean Energy Transition
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson states that Canada can lead the energy transition despite the government's support for new oil pipelines.
“Canada’s innovation ambition is straightforward,”
he said during his keynote speech at the International Energy Agency’s Energy and Innovation Forum in Toronto. Hodgson emphasized the goal to
“Build the most reliable, affordable, low-carbon energy system in the world, and export the know-how, technology and resources that make it possible”. He calls delivering on climate goals and economic growth
“the defining challenge of our generation”.
