Remembrance Day Ceremony at Grant Hall
On November 11, the Queen's community will gather to remember and mark Remembrance Day, with classes cancelled from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
This year is particularly significant, as it marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War, a conflict that claimed an estimated 70 to 85 million lives.
- Service led by Erin Burns, Interfaith Chaplain, starting at 10:50 am
- Doors open at 10:30 am
- Procession to the 5th Field Company Plinth to lay wreaths after the service
- Fellowship and refreshments at Wallace Hall, hosted by the Queen’s Military and Veterans Network
The Memorial Room in the JDUC will be open for quiet contemplation on Remembrance Day, honouring the Queen’s Fallen from WWI and WWII.
