Disabled Dog Duo a Furry Family
A Columbia couple, Mark and Kathleen Thien, have been taking care of a severely injured dog, Charlie, and recently added another dog to their family, showing their support for two area animal shelters.
Charlie, a beagle-dachshund mix, was struck by a car at just a year old, resulting in damage to his spinal cord, loss of use of his rear legs, injury to his left eye, and dislocated hips.
"We met Charlie at Helping Strays when he was brought in,"
said Kathleen. The couple previously spoke with the Republic-Times in 2018 about their experience with Charlie.
