Nebraska Head Coach Matt Rhule confirmed that sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola will miss the remainder of the 2025 season with a lower-leg injury.
Raiola suffered the injury during the game against USC in the third quarter. He has started 22 straight games in his Nebraska career, including all nine games this season.
Dylan wanted to play. From a medical perspective, they were like ‘he can’t run.’ He said ‘I can move around, I just can’t run.’ I just didn’t see the respectable thing to do to put a guy out there who can’t run...At the end of the day, you can’t put a guy out there who can’t protect himself.
The trainers didn’t want him to go out there, but they didn’t say no he can’t. Coach Rhule made the decision to prioritize Raiola's safety.
