Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Lying About Infant Son's Abduction
A California state judge has sentenced Jake Mitchell Haro, 32, to 25 years in prison for claiming his son had been abducted.
Haro, of Cabazon, was sentenced by Judge Gary Polk at the Riverside Hall of Justice, located in Riverside, Calif.
- He received 25 years for the abduction claim
- 180 days for filing a false police report
- An additional six years for a previous child abuse case
- Ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution
- Received credit for 551 days served
All sentences were ordered to run consecutively.
