A 29-year-old mother of four, Skylar Trujillo, is facing a cancer diagnosis while trying to maintain insurance coverage and SNAP benefits.
Trujillo, from Spring Hill, has Stage 3 breast cancer and is worried about feeding her family and affording monthly insurance premiums for her health care policy bought on the federal health exchange.
“I really can’t die, I have four kids, I have a family who loves me, so we have to do something,”
Trujillo said, expressing her mindset since her diagnosis this summer.
