Barrhead Grandmother Conquers Scotland's Munros

An inspirational grandmother, Anne Marie Macleod, has completed her bid to climb all 282 of Scotland's Munros, starting her journey in May 2021.

She began hiking during lockdown, catching the bug after climbing Ben Lomond with her eldest son Paul Campbell, his wife Lesley, and their children Taylor and Daniel.

“During lockdown I started going walks with my eldest son Paul Campbell, his wife Lesley, and their children Taylor and Daniel. We did Ben Lomond and I just loved being up in the hills.”

Anne Marie joined a Munro bagging Facebook group for beginners and completed her final Munro, Derry Cairngorm, with family and friends last month, coinciding with the birth of her third grandchild.
