Election Day 2025 Live Updates
The polls are now open for the 2025 NYC mayoral election. Voters will decide on their preferred mayor: Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, independent candidate Andrew Cuomo, or Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.
Additionally, New Yorkers will vote in local elections for Borough President, City Comptroller, Public Advocate, and City Council members, and answer six ballot questions, including three related to affordable housing.
A notable race is the East Bronx District 13 council election, where Republican incumbent Kristy Marmorato faces a challenge from Democrat Shirley Aldobol. Over 735,000 New Yorkers have already cast their ballots during early voting.
