Zalando has appointed Thomas Schwulera, formerly at L'Oréal, as its new Vice President of Beauty to accelerate growth in the strategically important segment.
The Berlin-based online retailer saw double-digit growth in beauty sales last year and is now reinforcing that trend, with Spanish and Portuguese customers gaining access to care products, makeup, and fragrances.

According to the company, 70% of customers who buy beauty products also add fashion items to their shopping cart, making beauty a gateway for Zalando. Schwulera aims to make Zalando “Europe’s most inspiring beauty destination.”
