Claiming Compensation for Flight Delays

A Singaporean lawyer, Terence Chua, shared his experience of a delayed Singapore Airlines flight from Paris to Singapore, which took off over five hours later than scheduled.

Under EU law, passengers in any class are entitled to compensation of 600 euros (S$905.86) for any technical delays on long-haul flights exceeding three hours.

To claim compensation, passengers will have to email the airline. Travellers may be owed up to S$1K for flight delays.
