RCP Survey Highlights 'Corridor Care' as the Norm

According to a snapshot survey by the Royal College of Physicians, 'corridor care' has become the norm, says the BMA.

These survey findings provide further evidence of what any doctor working in emergency care will tell you – that ‘corridor care’ is sadly now the norm.

Dr Helen Neary, co-chair of the BMA consultants committee, stated that even in summer, the majority of doctors have to treat patients in inappropriate spaces without dignity, privacy, or the right tools to do their jobs safely.

Going into winter, despite warnings from the front line, there is still no clear national picture of the crisis due to lack of data from NHS England, making it impossible to hold organizations accountable.
