Dr. Rashid Ali, Chair of the RAeS C3 Specialist Group, explores the key issues in autonomous systems with safety-critical functions in aviation.
As engineers, we primarily deal with quantitative data, but
qualitative data can also be used effectively to arrive at robust conclusions. In a seminar on qualitative data analysis, Dr. Ali demonstrated its power to a group of 24 postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds, including nurses, lawyers, and accountants.
